1 pound ground beef
½ teaspoon salt 
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce leaves
Sliced tomato
1 cup sliced sautéed mushrooms
4 ounces shredded Point Reyes TomaTruffle

 

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. Mix together with clean hands. Form beef into four patties.

 

Prepare gas or charcoal grill. Place patties on heated grill and cook for about 3 minutes. Flip burger and cook for another 3-4 minutes. (Cook longer for a more well done burger.) Alternatively, burgers can be cooked on the stove in a cast-iron or non-stick pan over medium heat. 

 

To assemble burgers, place lettuce leaf and sliced tomato on bottom bun. Follow with burger patty, TomaTruffle & hot sauteed mushrooms. Top with top bun.

 

Serve immediately.
