Cheese Cares is the embodiment of this commitment – how we leverage our platform through promotional fundraising, in kind donations, matching programs, event sponsorships, and annual giving to support organizations that share our values and represent causes we believe are important and worthy. Not everyone agrees with how we’ve integrated our social mission with our business strategy, and that’s ok. If our efforts bring awareness, education and/or financial benefit to any of the causes we endorse, than we’ve done good – and we’re more than ok with that.

Ten years ago we joined the fight to end gun violence in the US by supporting Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety and are now using our platform to ask you to join us. What does this have to do with cheese you might ask? --We are a family-owned business of mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers, aunts, uncles, and grandparents and we are tired of seeing gun violence in communities just like ours --in schools, churches, grocery stores… If our plea gets even one of you to donate, then we’ve done the right thing. Enough is enough.

We are avid supporters of The Trevor Project - a life-saving service provider benefitting LGBTQ++ youth in crisis. We believe in equality for all, no matter how you worship, what language you speak, or who you love, and are proud to host an annual fundraiser every June that benefits the important work of this organization.

women's reproductive care is healthcare

To us, the concept is simple - women's access to reproductive healthcare is a human right. As a brand built by women, with a workforce of 60% women, we stand firmly in support of Planned Parenthood and the necessary services they provide. Women should have access to this care regardless of the city they live in, financial status, or personal circumstance.

As a food producer we certainly know the positive difference a fresh, healthy meal can make and are proud to support the California Association of Food Banks. Since 2020 and the Covid-19 pandemic, we have committed to annual donations as well as sponsoring volunteer opportunities for employees to join us in support of the association's mission to end food insecurity in our own community.

We are honored to be a part of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust, an incredible organization that works to protect farmland in Marin County. MALT was founded in 1980 to protect family farms from mounting development pressures. In the decades since its founding, MALT has continued to advance farmland protection and support the adoption of sustainable agricultural practices throughout West Marin. Preserving and protecting the land that has sustained our business will always be a priority for our family and company.

Victory Cheese is a national movement dedicated to the success of artisanal, farmstead and specialty cheese made in the US. We’re thrilled to show our support with the Victory Cheese gift pack. With every purchase of the Victory Cheese gift pack, we donate 15% to the artisan cheese community, via the American Cheese Society. Funds raised to support the Victory Cheese movement go toward educational and marketing activities that assist small artisan cheesemakers with production and profitability.
