Truffle Brie and Fennel Blue selected among 234 finalists from over 1,200 entries nationwide.
Point Reyes Station, CA (January 29, 2026) Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. is proud to announce that two of its artisan cheeses, Truffle Brie and Fennel Blue, have been named Finalists for the 2026 Good Food Awards. The prestigious recognition places both products among 234 outstanding finalists from 40 states, selected from a competitive pool of more than 1,200 entries.
The Good Food Awards finalists were determined through a rigorous blind tasting process held in October 2025, where over 250 expert judges meticulously evaluated each entry. Selection as a finalist required not only exceptional taste but also adherence to the Good Food Awards' high standards for sustainable and responsible production. Point Reyes Farmstead’s recognition in two categories reflects both the flavor excellence of these cheeses and the company's commitment to operating with integrity throughout every aspect of their business.
“We are honored that Fennel Blue and Truffle Brie have been named Finalists for the 2026 Good Food Awards,” said Connie Concon, National Sales Director for Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company. “This recognition speaks to the quality, craftsmanship, and distinctive flavor profiles that define our cheeses. While we’re proud of the accolades, our focus has always been on making cheese for everyday enjoyment—not just special occasions. Awards like these reinforce confidence for our retail and food service partners, giving them compelling selling points that resonate at the counter and on the menu.”
Truffle Brie showcases the rich, earthy complexity that comes from carefully balancing luxurious black summer truffle notes with the creamy elegance of traditional Brie. Fennel Blue represents a creative evolution of the company's blue cheese expertise, introducing aromatic sweetness of fennel to create a distinctive flavor profile that is both earthy and nuanced. Both cheeses exemplify the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have become hallmarks of Point Reyes Farmstead's cheesemaking tradition.
The Good Food Awards evaluate products on three critical pillars: taste, authenticity, and responsibility. This means finalists have demonstrated not only superior flavor but also transparent sourcing practices, sustainable production methods, and a commitment to social responsibility. For Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co., meeting these standards is not just about winning awards but about upholding the values that have guided the company since its founding.
"The geographic diversity of this year's finalists, spanning 40 states, is a testament to the fact that the movement for tasty, authentic, and responsible food continues to thrive in every corner of our country," said Sally Rogers, Good Food Foundation Board President.
The 2026 Good Food Awards Winners will be announced in conjunction with the Good Food Mercantile and the Specialty Food Association's Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City, taking place June 28-30, 2026.
