TomaRashi, Furikake and Hot Honey Toast
Serves 4
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 ¾-inch slices of seeded bread
4 ounces Point Reyes TomaRashi, shredded
About 1 tablespoon hot honey
1 teaspoon furikake condiment
Minced fresh cilantro for garnish
Salt
Heat broiler.
Using a pastry brush, brush both sides of 8 slices of bread with olive oil. Place on a sheet pan under broiler. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
Top each piece of toasted bread with equal amounts TomaRashi. Return pan to the oven, cooking until cheese is melted and beginning to bubble, 3-5 minutes.
Drizzle with hot honey, sprinkle with furikake, cilantro and a pinch of salt. Serve immediately.
