Throughout the month, we will be spotlighting women in business we admire and love to work with. Through pod-cast style interviews, you’ll learn  more about how they got their start, what motivates them, their mentors and more! We invite you to join us in raising a glass (or perhaps a wedge of cheese!) to women entrepreneurs everywhere because from our perspective, women who support other women are the very best kind, and there is always room at the table for greatness!

Janet's Finest Compotes  is a women-owned/family-owned berry and jalapeno compote business based in Minneapolis, MN. Owned by sisters, Jessica Amel and Angela Kmeck, all of the original recipes are from their mom, Janet. Their compotes are made to accompany specialty cheese and charcuterie. Each and every compote is handcrafted by slowly cooking each batch to perfection. The bird on the label harkens back to the farm and the legacy of women whose shoulders they stand on.
"We are really really focused on staying true to our mom's recipes. She's our rock. That's the reason we're here-it's why we're doing this, and why it's so meaningful."  ~Jessica Amel
"I think that we've found that it's really easy to ask women the questions that we're nervous to ask because we don't know the answer. We're learning. So, we have gravitated toward women who are further along than us-who give us the mentorship we need. And, we like to give back too when we can."  ~Angela Kmeck
